Throughout the book the author is trying to uncover the negative aspects of the drug industry. She focuses on uncovering the parts that are deceptive and might be harmful to the consumer. She talkings about the "black boxes" or secrets that drug companies keep. She is mainly trying to inform the readers about what they should look out for from the big drug companies. Things like how they don't spend nearly as much money on making the drugs as they say they do and how the drugs arent even that new or innovative.
